Heirlooms for the Modern Wild
Wilderness Design Company started in Michigan with a simple idea: the outdoors deserves better than novelty T-shirts. We build apparel for people who spend their weekends on a trail, on the water, around a campfire, or just as happy studying a trail map as walking it — and we wanted a wardrobe that actually reflected that range.
The Archive
Instead of chasing one look, we organize everything we make into Series — Alpine, Flora, Fauna, Waterline, Strata, Atlas, Mana, Roast — each one its own small collection built around a shared obsession, from heritage cartography to campfire coffee rituals. Think of it less like a clothing brand and more like a field journal we keep adding to.
Made to Order, on Purpose
Every piece is printed only after you order it. No warehouses of unsold inventory, no overproduction sitting in a landfill somewhere. It costs us a little speed — production takes a few days before your order ships — but we think that trade is worth it, and it means every design in the Archive can exist without a minimum order size holding it back.
Built to Last
We print on heavyweight blanks — garment-dyed Comfort Colors tees, heavyweight fleece hoodies — chosen because they hold up to actual use, not just a photo shoot. If something arrives damaged or wrong, we make it right, no questions asked. Details in our Refund Policy.
